Test Point Plugs are installed in hydraulic systems at strategic points to provide easy access for the Hydra-Test Probes described later. Plugs may be installed temporarily during commissioning and fault finding, or left permanently installed to assist in routine servicing and maintenance.

Basic Test Point Plugs
Basic plugs are fitted into the system utilising existing threaded ports or ports specifically designed for the purpose. A wide choice of thread types and sizes is available to make fitting as simple as possible. Thread options include: BSPP and NPTF up to 3/8, UNF up to 9/16-18, Metric up to M14 x 1.5 and 1/8 BSPT.
- 400 bar working pressure.
- Passivated steel or 316 stainless steel.
Soft Seat Test Point Plugs
Similar to the Basic Plug but for air, gas or liquid systems where bubble-tight sealing is essential.
- Threads BSPP or NPTF.
- 400 bar working pressure.
- Positive 0-ring sealing.
- Passivated steel or 316 stainless steel.
Test Point Plugs For All Locations
A very wide range of adapted or specially designed plugs permit installation where a basic plug would not be feasible. The variety available means that Test Points can be placed at the most effective and/or convenient parts of the hydraulic system.
- 400 bar working pressure.
- Steel construction with corrosion resistant plating.
The following types are available:
- Large sizes for access ports up to 1.1/2 BSPP or for attachment to 60° cone hose end fittings.
- Staplelock for ports which conform to NCB638 requirements. These plugs are complimentary to the Staplelock Probes described later.
- Bulkhead mounting with rear port internally threaded for 1/8 BSPF or NPTF pipe connection.
- T fittings for mounting into inch pipework from 1/4 to 1.1/2 dia and metric pipework from 6mm to 25mm dia.
- Blanking cap adaptors for connection to DIN pipe fittings from l2mm to 38mm diameter and J.l.C. 37° cone fittings from 7/16 to 1.5/16 UNF.
- Standpipe adaptors to fit into standard inch size compression type tube fittings from 1/4 to 1.1/2 0.D. or metric sizes from 6mm to 42mm dia.
- Hose coupling adaptors for fitting between the end of a flexible hose and the system hardware. For BSPP hose sizes from 1/4 to 1.1/2, 0.R.F.S. hose sizes from 9/1 6 to 1.11/16 UNF and J.l.C. 37° cone hose sizes from 7/16 to 1.7/8.
